Liam Williams pictured here with his mum says 'Running for Penny Brohn Cancer Care meant a lot to me as my family has been affected by cancer in the past. It was fantastic to gain awareness of the charity and they certainly repaid my efforts on the day. Penny Brohn members all greeted my mother (who watched) and I with smiley faces at 7 in the morning and wanted to make sure we got the most out of the day. They welcomed my mother to join them at cheering on runners during the race which she thoroughly enjoyed. For me it was a fantastic day. The atmosphere was amazing and at every stage of the race people were cheering me on which kept me going. It was great seeing Penny Brohn members supporting me too, I felt like part of the team and the whole day was a great team effort. It has made me addicted to half marathons and I have to thank Penny Brohn Cancer Care for helping me have a day I will never forget.'
