The hottest Team Adventure Challenge for 2009/2010 – The Rats are back

Rat Race Australia launches the 2009 series with Perth on the rat radar plus a return to Melbourne where the inaugural event took the town by storm, and what a storm it was. 2009 will see the rats descend on the City of Perth and Melbourne as the event crosses country to bring the hottest team adventure challenge to Australia's sporting capitals.

David Wolf, course designer and chief Melbourne rat, said, "Perth is a fantastic city to let the rat racers loose. It has a unique personality and we will tap into that to make sure the race is an awesome experience for the home town hosts and our adventurous rats that take on the series."

Rat Race Australia has grown on the extraordinary success of Melbourne 2008 and delivers a race series that will ignite the competitive spirits of racers, adventurers and mates who are looking for a new challenge. The rat racers will paddle, cycle, abseil, navigate and weave their way through challenges on a course that is revealed only hours before the race.

"Apart from the great features that each city offers, it is the people that make the race and the people of Perth and Melbourne love their sport, love to have fun and love a good party afterwards. My mission is to make sure they are well and truly challenged before they get to that party." David Wolf said.

"The support from the City of Perth and the City of Melbourne has also been brilliant which means I can set some awesome course routes and we will all have some cracking fun along the way." David Wolf said.

And 2010 will see minimum 4 Rat Races spread throughout the country.
