Team composition

Teams in the Rat Race events enter as 2 or 3 people, whether competing in the Saturday evening Mean Streets event and/or the Sunday Nine2Five event. Your team CAN be single sex BUT please bear in mind in these cases you will not be eligible for the overall Rat Race Series prize, so if you are racing to WIN, you cannot do so as a single sex team.

Age limits
All competitors must be over 16. Those aged 16 and 17 must provide written parental/ guardian consent of their participation. Click below to download.

Here are some basic rules we adhere to in the event. It’s important that you play by the spirit of the event; not only are the rules there for the fair play of the event, but for the safety of you and the public too.

As the event is score based, infringement of any rules attracts a score deduction penalty. The Race Director applies penalties and various 'rat wraths' for the really naughty.

And
•    Don't cheat. Cheats will be penalised (score deduction penalty example; 50 points)
•    You must stick together, within 50m, as a team
•    Failure to pass any mandatory kit checks will attract a score deduction penalty
•    You must follow the prescribed route (on Sunday)
